Most people claim that they’re not fond of rainy weather. They believe that you can’t really do anything when it rains. In London this is definitely not true and it just affirms my love for the beautiful grey skies. Here are 3 of my favourite things to do when it rains.

Here in Your London Dungeon

If you love the wonderful history that London holds then the London Dungeon is a definite must see. Whether rain, sunshine or snow, you are guaranteed a fantastic 90 minute show that takes you through 1000 years of amazing and fascinating history. With over 20 actors, 18 interactive shows and 2 wild rides there is no greater way of learning all about London’s tumultuous past, from Jack the Ripper to Guy Fawkes and even Sweeney Todd. It is hilarious and entertaining and definitely worth a visit or two.

I’ll Take Afternoon Tea – If You Take it with Me

When you think ‘London’ I’m sure your active association is a fancy high tea. Why not then indulge in that association and spend a lovely afternoon at any of the hotel restaurants or stores around the city, having tea and crumpets. The best part of everything is that they even come themed; Paddington Bear Tea party, afternoon tea on a bus tour around London and, if you want to get really fancy, an afternoon tea that includes champagne and strawberries.

Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to the… Wax Museum.

There is a reason why Madame Tussads is world famous and a popular tourist attraction. Deemed as the ‘ultimate celebrity experience’, this museum of beautifully crafted wax figures will leave even the hardened sceptic amazed. Where else can you see the Royal family, Lady Gaga, Spider-Man and Charles Dickens all under one roof?
